Logo Design Winner + Brand Identity
Women of Email TM (WoE) is a non-profit aimed at promoting leadership and cultivating professional growth among women in the email space. Co-founded in 2016 by Laura Atkins, Kristin Bond, Jen Capstraw, and April Mullen, WoETM boasts more than 500 members to date and growing. Looking to create a logo that encompassed a strong symbolism to their already existing color palette and meaningful goat symbolism, WoETM held a logo competition in June 2016 shortly after launching.
The winning identity is designed to represent both the strong and bold women of email as they grow significantly within this male-dominated industry of tech. The sleek sharp edges of the letter lines were intended to create a strong yet feminine display of the female strength and consistent stamina. The goat icon was illustrated and tailored to be used in unison with the logo and as a stand alone representation of the organization. Drawn to illustrate the meditative and zen-like patience one must encompass while balancing atop the metaphorical line mountain of career and life. The icon symbolizes the pride in overcoming past challenges and the readiness to approach more in the journey ahead.
